Anyone in the US in favor of ditching the UN? I'm not sure I am, I typically like the idea of "Keeping your friends close, and your enemies closer." But someone at the Jewish World Review says we should get out and gives a pretty good case for it here.

I can feel the guy's emotions coming through in the piece, but it is so much so that it's terrible. He needs an editor and/or 10 deep breaths before he tries again.
As far as withdrawing from the UN, it is a wonderful fantasy. I have spent some time thinking about it myself. Same with NATO. Reality is that we cannot go back to the isolationist mindset. It's time has come and gone. We need to make the best of a bad situation.

If you read what I said about it...I don't want to leave the UN. I'm completely opposed to it. The only way I would want the US to leave the UN is if the UN were being abolished.

Including 18 here in the U.S., they could shut any one of them down (including yellowstone national park) when ever they wanted. So yea, I think they need to go bye, bye.
