Posted by Skywalker at February 2, 2004 10:32 PM | TrackBackSomeone tell me who didn't realize this, and who really cared that a starling or a robin occassionally run into a window? Why did the AP waste time on this?
Posted by: skywalker at February 2, 2004 10:41 PMuh... cause the editor's brother-in-law needed to get his feet wet in the business? I'm just guessing here but it can't be that far off.
Posted by: muddy at February 3, 2004 04:56 PMhaha I'm still wanting to know who actually cared?
Posted by: skywalker at February 3, 2004 05:07 PMWell, the birds I talked with earlier didn't seem to be too happy about the whole incident. Apparently, it's a little difficult flying around with glass up your a**. That's why the article was written....well that along with the fact that they threated to bombard the car of the editor's brother-in-law with poop if he refused to write their story.
Posted by: mrs. muddy at February 3, 2004 05:24 PMThe story said that birds can only see sky and tree's when the glass is reflective. The question that I have is why they dont just try to avoid the oncoming bird?

LOL! Maybe they think the "oncoming bird" is so good looking that they're trying to get it's attention - so to speak. Ahh...Love at first sight.
That was actually a Seinfeld joke.....
God I miss that show.
Posted by: cwilli at February 5, 2004 08:54 PMIt's ok, baby. I'll explain it all to you later. On second thought...no I won't...no need to confuse you anymore than you already are :-P
