Jesus' name banned
In deeply religious Porterville, the name of Jesus Christ is now banned from prayers that open City Council meetings, and a Lindsay ban probably is on the way.
Porterville moved recently to follow a court decision that bars official invocations from naming a specific deity. The decision permits words such as "God," "Lord" and "Father" but bars terms such as "Jesus," "Allah," "Yahweh" or "Buddha."

Where is the ACLU on this? Isnt it a basic right of free speech? I dont know why the ACLU isnt all over this one.
Oh wait. I forgot. Because even though this violates freedom of speech this actually helps the ACLU agenda. I bet if they banned the words 'gay' or 'homosexual' than the ACLU would have already sued them.
That's just sad, sad, sad man.
How about we ban color, since it's offensive and confusing to color blind people like me.
Well, guys, I'll give you two reasons *why* the ACLU won't be doing anything here:
1) You *can* say "God" "Lord" and "Father". Which in 'ACLU' terms means you can *silently* refer to your god of choice but out loud, you wont be allowed to be specific therefore, offending no one.
2) They have an "open-comment" time where they *can* say the name of Jesus or whatever they want so in 'ACLU' terms that means - your rights are not being violated.
Yeah, I think I've listend to their rubbish enough throughout the years to predict what the ACLU would say. Uh...should I be more scared of that or impressed with myself? :-P
But I will also add, that the "good" side to this (if any) is that they also can't say the name of Allah or Buddha either. At least the ban is being equal with it's predjudice.
