Who would you rather have your photo taken with? The woman who won the Olympic Marathon or the woman who knew she was to be the last to finish, but kept running to the finish line anyways?
Who would your ather have your photo with? The Iraqi soccer team which doesn't care that they no longer live under a dictator and would be in Athens either way, or the Afghan woman who finish who sprint heat 3 seconds behind the person who finished ahead of her but who didn't care what she placed because she had never had a chance to compete before?
How about the woman who medalled in judo, or the Afghan woman whose olympic experience ended in 42 seconds as she lost her judo match?
On a side note, why are countries like greece allowed to have teams which are mostly non-Grecian?! Most of their baseball team is American college students!
Please keep politics out of the discussion.

I'm so glad all those women got to be apart of the games this year but, I must admit, I couldn't help but get a little teary eyed when I saw this Afghan woman (though, *I* thought she was a teenager...perhapes I was wrong?). Usually, when an athlete comes in last (or second, for that matter), you can see the understandably dissapointed look on their faces. But not with this girl (at least, not from what I remember). She was just so happy to be there and I was so happy for her!:-)
