Shaddup Pat!

When your trying to spread the good news of Jesus and his love for us.
You might not want to publicly announce we need to wack a nation's leader.
Maybe Chavez is a danger, however I believe Pat you just exposed yourself as a man of Religion and not a man of God.
Two different things buddy.
Pat go back to begging for money on T.V. and leave world politics to the rest of us.

"...Pat you just exposed yourself as a man of Religion and not a man of God."

Well, I blieve he is a man of God but he's definately a good example of what happens when Christians (or even non Christians) allow religion to corrupt and poison their spirits. Sad.

....a man of God? This guy?????

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit. A good tree can't produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit. Every tree that doesn't grow good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire. Therefore, by their fruits you will know them. Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will tell me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?' Then I will tell them, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.' --Matthew 7:15-23

"I think 'one man, one vote,' just unrestricted democracy, would not be wise. There needs to be some kind of protection for the minority which the white people represent now, a minority, and they need and have a right to demand a protection of their rights."
-- Pat Robertson, The 700 Club television program, March 18, 1992, suggesting that South African white people's votes ought to count more than other votes because they are in the minority

"I read your book. When you get through, you [a reader] say, 'If I could just get a nuclear device inside Foggy Bottom, I think that's the answer.' I mean, you get through this, and you say, 'We've got to blow that thing up.' I mean, is it as bad as you say?
-- Pat Robertson, to syndicated columnist Joel Mowbray, author of Dangerous Diplomacy: How the State Department Endangers National Security; the U.S. Department of State is located in Foggy Bottom, a Washington, D.C., neighborhood.

"You say you're supposed to be nice to the Episcopalians and the Presbyterians and the Methodists and this, that, and the other thing. Nonsense. I don't have to be nice to the spirit of the Antichrist. I can love the people who hold false opinions but I don't have to be nice to them."
--Pat Robertson, The 700 Club, January 14, 1991

"People have immortal spirits with incredible power over elemental things. The way to deal with inanimate matter is to talk to it." --Pat Robertson, quoted in the San Francisco Examiner.

"If Christian people work together, they can succeed during this decade in winning back control of the institutions that have been taken from them over the past 70 years. Expect confrontations that will be not only unpleasant but at times physically bloody..." --Pat Robertson, "Pat Robertson's Perspective" (Oct/Nov 1992)

"There is no such thing as separation of church and state in the Constitution. It is a lie of the Left and we are not going to take it anymore."--Pat Robertson, address to his American Center for Law and Justice, November, 1993.

"The thing that the president of the United States has got to keep in mind is, under the Ba’ath party, Iraq was a so-called secular state. That's why many of the Islamic nations don't like [Saddam Hussein]. If the United States tries nation building, it's got to [have] at the very top of its agenda a separation of church and state. There has to be a secular state in there and not an Islamic state. If they let an open vote, and let the Shi’ites for example take a vote, they will probably have the majority, and [under] one-man one-vote will say, we'll go in for shariah, and the next thing you know, you've got a mini-Iran in there. So it's going to be absolutely imperative to set up a constitution and safeguards that say we will maintain a secular state much like what Indonesia has, but to respect the faith of all the people in there, including the Sunni and the Shi’ites and the Christians and the Assyrian Christians, whatever, and the Kurds. Very important."
The 700 Club, March 17, 2003 (Ed--WHOA, waitaminute! Has Robertson had a conversion?....No! He's just against an Islamic state.)

Glad to read your reaction folks...
Gee...

Lurker:

I understand what you're saying BUT - we are saved by *grace* through fath *alone*. If Pat Robertson has accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior then he IS indeed a Christian. The things he has said, though, just makes him a *bad* one.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not parish but have everlasting life." - John 3:16

It doesn't say "...for whosoever believeth in Him and never says anything stupid.". It doesn't say, "...for whosoever believeth in Him and acts in a civilized manner.". It says, "....for whosoever *believeth* in Him shall not parish but have everlasting life.".

That is not to say we shouldn't judge him by his "fruits". That's not to say we should take everythiing he says to heart and act on it. It's just to say that - like the rest of us - he has to answer to God and GOD will be his judge. In the mean time, we know according to the God, the Bible and according to our convictions how we should act so we should act accordingly.

Also:

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing,...."

That verse - I believe, anyway - is talking about false prophets such as muhammad, budah, and all the other false prophets (that I'm too tierd to remember right now) who point to false gods and preach that those gods will save you.

Pat Roberston is a VERY Wealthy man. [praise jesus] i think he has a net worth of more than 400 million dollars. He has several business intrest in Africa, and most likey he has some in venezuela. thats the Only reason i could think he would make a statement like this, because of some monetary intrest he has in the country.

im suprised you all have such a Negative Reaction to what Robertson said. i thought only the islamo facisct openly Preached death to foriegn leaders that were democratically elected. Robertson is just channeling the word of God, or should that be G-d? now, in the Name of Jesus pick up that phone and send me money.

"...in the Name of Jesus pick up that phone and send me money."

Amen and hallelujah brother mooseboy! And, believe me, I would pick up that phone but I misplaced your number somewhere in my stacks and stacks of money so I'll just keep the money for myself.:-)
