UK May resort to lopping off heads
A GOVERNMENT agency is launching an inquiry into doctorsí reports that up to 50 babies a year are born alive after botched National Health Service abortions.
The investigation, by the Confidential Enquiry into Maternal and Child Health (CEMACH), comes amid growing unease among clinicians over a legal ambiguity that could see them being charged with infanticide.
The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, which regulates methods of abortion, has also mounted its own investigation.
Its guidelines say that babies aborted after more than 21 weeks and six days of gestation should have their hearts stopped by an injection of potassium chloride before being delivered. In practice, few doctors are willing or able to perform the delicate procedure.
This is just ****** sickening. "Doctors are increasingly uneasy about aborting babies who could be born alive." How can they want to murder in the first place?, it's like saying I took a gun and shot my 10 year old but the 9 year old was just too young for me to kill like that. No different.

I really would like to see the suicide statistics for abortion doctors and staff. I really can't fathom how one could do such things and live life like everthing's ok. -Ed
"I really can't fathom how one could do such things and live life like everthing's ok."
By living on lies and denial. Among other things.

My comments, LOL.
Theres a reason pencils have erasers....
"Theres a reason pencils have erasers...."
To attempt to remove what is written just to succeed into leaving a trace of a shadow behind of what once was?
Abortion is a good thing. If you dont like it, never have one. If teen girls want have abortions, good, let them. If a teen girl gets pregnant, and doesnt inform her parents she pregnant, then here is already a breakdown in parenting.
I kind of view abortion like eating meat. Its not necessary, there are alternatives but people do it anyway. If you eat meat, then you should have no problems with abortion.
"Abortion is a good thing."
Is it also a good thing for those women who lament over the desicion they made and who are tormented mentally by wondering what and who the child could've been. It's a mind, body and spirit thing - just like everything else is.
"If a teen girl gets pregnant, and doesnt inform her parents she pregnant, then here is already a breakdown in parenting."
Maybe, but not neccessarily. I was 23 when I got pregnant and at that time, I told my mom pretty much every going on in my life. We were very close back then. I didn't tell her I was pregnant until I was pretty much through my whole first trimester! And I was an adult! I knew she wouldn't judge me nor hate me but I didn't want to see that look of dissapointment on her face. Which was exactly what I got - for a short while anyway.
"If you eat meat, then you should have no problems with abortion."
Actually, that's not the same thing and it's quite a poor compairison. An animal can attempt to run away. They can at least attempt to put up a fight. Even fish can swim away. Animals have an instict when danger is near. Babies don't have that luxury. They're at the mercy of an adult (or child [teenage] in some cases) who make a choice to take away the freedom of choice from the baby who is "trapped" in the womb. They're cornered. The baby can't run, they can't fight back in an attempt to ensure their survival. That sounds more like being butchered to me.
First off, I should have proof read before I posted. I need to start doing that more often, lol.
There is all this nonsense and propoganda out there that says women have such a truamtic exeperience during abortions.
ITS HOGWASH. Its lies and propoganda put out by religous nutcases. Wondering what the child could have been? Only insane women lament over something like that. Several years ago there was a female talk show host who talked about abortiotn. Some caller tried to use that spin about all the negative traumatic things the woman goes through. The talk show host said, "Ive had an abortion and its not a truamatic experience." I saw a documentry on abortion whackos a few years ago on HBO. These people were trully insane. They had one lady who had an abortion and seemed to be trully mentally ill. Im sure there a few mentally ill women like that lady who go insane, but that is a small percantage. Its a medical procedure, and accidents can occur. Its still no where near as bad as coat hangers.
Your example about being 23 and having a kid is EXACTLY why there should NOT be parental notification. Lets subtract 8 years from that age, and say you were 15 and learned you were pregnant. Even if thats probably the average age of conception in west virgina, lets say that your mother had a more viperous reaction?
What would you do if you were 15, got date raped and found out you were pregnant? Now you have to deal with not only being raped, but face the fact your pregnant and having to deal with your parents reactions.
What if you were Forced to have a child you Didnt want? Should the Big Statist Government you hate, FORCE women to give Birth?
On the meat issue -- Does a cow in a sluaghter house have an oppurtunity to run away? Can a deer run away from a gun with a velocity that shoots 2000 feet a second?
There is no justification for eating meat, other than you like to eat meat. With modern isolation of supplements, practically every form of nutrient you need can be found without the usage of eating meat.
Like I said earlier, if you dont want an abortion, dont have one. Why is that hard for some people to grasp?
Do all these people who talk about adoption have Foster children? There are so many that you could easily get 2 or 3 of them. The government will even give you a small supplement to help you take care them. Oh wait, that is socialism so we better get rid of that stipend.
"First off, I should have proof read before I posted."
What part did you screw up on? the "...abortion is a good thing" part?
"There is all this nonsense and propoganda out there that says women have such a truamtic exeperience during abortions."
I didn't say ALL of them did. But you can't tell me that out of all the *thousands* of women and girls who've ever had an abortion that not ONE of them had any gult and/or regret about it afterwards WITHOUT them being mentally ill in the first place. You CAN'T say that because you haven't talked to all of them...of course, neither have I but you just can't *assume* that not ONE of them had some regret about it later.
My testamony that I gave you....you missed the point. You had said:
"If a teen girl gets pregnant, and doesnt inform her parents she pregnant, then here is already a breakdown in parenting."
MY point was that there are all kinds of reasons why girls don't tell their parents. You're looked at as a responsible person. One who always makes good choices. People always come to you for advise. You're trustworthy. OR maybe no one trusts you and you always make the irresponsible choices. In either case - you let your guard down and you become pregnant. You may have a great family. One that will not harm you nor hate you nor kick you out of the house or anything to that degree. YOu're just in a position where you just don't want to see *that* look on their faces. Any girl could go to planned parenthood and make their families reaction sound alot worse that what it would truely be in reality just as so she can have that abortion and "move on" with her life. She's embarrassed, ashamed and disgusted with her own irresponsibility BUT her family may be the people who bend over backwards to help her. Unfortunately, her parents won't get the opportunity to help her out (reguardless of whether she goes through with the abortion or not) because they won't need to be notified! Which brings up another point....
Not only is that a severe slap in the face to me and every other parent out there but it's just rediculous! If my kid has to take a prescription medicine or even an asprin for pete sakes, the school office needs a note from the me AND the doctor before it can be given! A few years back, our eldest had to get a tonsillectomy. We had to sign every form they could possibly give us and all they did was reach down this kids throat! We had to sign alot of things for many reasons one of which was for the anesthetic because (as with any procedure or surgery) it can make you sick. Yet, you can take a girl give her anesthetic and actually CUT her open and remove the embryo/fetus from her womb and her own mother and/or father don't need to be informed?! Why is that ok with some people!?
Not only that but if I worked for planned parenthood (which would be a cold day in hell if I did), I would be scared to death of lawsuits that may come my way. What would happen if something went wrong on the table and some poor girl lost her life? I don't understand that one at all.
"Should the Big Statist Government you hate, FORCE women to give Birth?"
First of all, I don't "hate" them. Secondly, should that government force *me* to pay for an abortion with my tax dollars? I obviously find it a horific, murderous practice not to mention - if someone wants an abortion THAT bad let them pay for it their own damn selves! OR they can take donations from people like you who have no problem with it and leave ME out of it!
Obiously, this is a HUGE issue that starts before the actual abortion. It starts with education about safe, responsible sex which both the government AND the church are both at fault for screwing up....but I don't have time to go into that right now.
Oh and btw....
"On the meat issue -- Does a cow in a sluaghter house have an oppurtunity to run away? Can a deer run away from a gun with a velocity that shoots 2000 feet a second?"
My point was that they have an open space that they CAN very well try to get away - it's true that they wont be very successful but again, not my point. Cows are too stupid and are just lead by the nose to the slaughter. A deer also a better chance than that of a baby who is stuck in a corner - so to speak.
Just out of curiousity....are you or have you ever been a member or at least donated money to PETA? I'm truely just curious.
I dont feel like typing because ive been extremely busy working long hours the last few days, but just a few points.
*Abortion is a good thing. If you dont want one, dont have one. If you dont have a Uterus this you really should not be tyring to dictate what people that have one can do with it.
*Are dogs and cats stupid? People in asian countries eat them, so how would you feel about that? and No I am not a member of peta and havent donated money
"If you dont have a Uterus this you really should not be tyring to dictate what people that have one can do with it."
Well, I *do* have a uterus and that's not the point anyway. I could care less what women do with their own uterus. Each and every woman can choose to do whatever they want with the one their uterus. Remove it if they so choose to. Keep it in a jar afterwards. Whatever. The point is that once there is a LIFE growing inside of it then it becomes about the *life* INSIDE of the uterus - NOT the uterus itself. We know we don't agree on this and quite frankly, with all due respect, I don't know why I waisted my time. As always, we'll just have to agree to disagree.
"*Are dogs and cats stupid?"
Well, they're not as smart as humans - of course, it's not like I really care anyway. God gave us dominion over the animals. I believe we should treat them with a certain amount of respect and dignity but if someone what's to eat them...why shouldn't they? The Indians used/use every part of the animal when they took of it. AND they had great respect for the animal too. I think everyone could learn alot from their ways of hunting.
"People in asian countries eat them, so how would you feel about that?"
That's nothing new. And I couldn't care less about it either. Some people in areas of the world eat horse and probably rats and anything else they can run across and catch. So what. There's only one form of meat I eat and you can only get that from the water.
Well, that's enough of me for now....go get some sleep and quit working so hard.:-)
