Al Gore: Embarrasment to himself, Joke to the rest of us

JIDDAH, Saudi Arabia (AP) -- Former Vice President Al Gore told a mainly Saudi audience on Sunday that the U.S. government committed "terrible abuses" against Arabs after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, and that most Americans did not support such treatment.

Gore said Arabs had been "indiscriminately rounded up" and held in "unforgivable" conditions. The former vice president said the Bush administration was playing into al-Qaida's hands by routinely blocking Saudi visa applications.

Liberals threw a complete fit when we put *terroists* in Guantanamo Bay and how "horrible" those good conditions were/are for those poor little terroists. Does he really expect the American people to believe that the U.S government "rounded up" innocent Arabs and did such horrible things to them and the liberals and the media didn't even pick up on it?

So you support privation of basic defense rights to presumed innocents ?

Guantanamo has just been pointed by UNO has an illegal practice, and the UNO has asked the USA to stop it.

Will the USA led by BUsh comply ? You bet they won't ...

Meanwhile, some of those who support guantanamo still think that ID card and computer tracking chips are ugly devices fostering government control... The very same ones think the patriot act is a patriot act, not an ugly device fostering government control in the name of an alleged war against terrorism...
Ever read 1984 ?

Anyway so far things follow the foreseen path :
no WMD in iraq
No economic revival in iraq (less electricity and water supply than before the war of 2003), a country on the brink of civil war
clear signs of oncoming major US led world recession.

UNO?
As in Uno's Pizza??

While I'll admit they make a wonderful pie what business is it of theirs to make political judgements?

You know, I agree with the Geneva Convention: we should have shot them on sight as spies. That would save us from this Guantanamo debacle.

True, oorrrrrrrrrrr we could just burn it down. With all the prisoners locked inside and all the guards/officers at a safe distance away. But that's just my feeling.
