I love spring! I always have. There's just something about watching everything come back to life again after a long, gray and dreary winter. The smell of fresh cut grass, the smell of rain in the air (though I can do without the severe thunderstorms and tornado watches and warnings but hey....), seeing the familiar colours of the world around me reborn. This rebirth is a very literal sence in many ways.
Today, on Easter, we Christians celebrate the death and *resurection* of Christ. The day when "He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace (that brought us peace) was upon Him. And by His stripes we are healed.". (Isaiah 53:5)
He conquered sin and death and lives for ever more! That "whoever...." (I don't read any exceptions there) "....believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
May God pour out His mercy, blessings and grace upon you all.
Happy Easter!
