An audio message posted Friday on an Islamic Web site purports to be the voice of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, grieving over the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and taunting President Bush.
Al-Zarqawi, a Jordanian who masterminded hundreds of bombings, kidnappings and beheadings in Iraq, was killed June 7 in an U.S. airstrike north of Baghdad. He was al Qaeda's leader in Iraq.
On the tape, bin Laden addresses President Bush directly and demands that the U.S. return al-Zarqawi's body to his family in Jordan.

Sorry, had to post this. After the AHC went crazy on the military and Bush for killing a "nobody" like zarqawi, this was too funny.

Have you heard about the recent decision of the US supreme court regarding the special trials the Bush administration tried to apply to the presumed innocents illegaly jailed in Guantanamo ?

AS far as bodies not returned to the families because of security concerns ... The complete debate has been had some 2500 years ago. Read Seneque and his antigona

I can't understand how it is possible for Bin Laden to ask for the corpse to be returned to the family ? HAs it not already been done ?
Strange.

Typical of the Supreme Court to make laws and pass off it's own opinion as law, therefore making laws when that is beyond it's power. Yet we sit here and let them.
As far as the body goes, I don't really care. He's dead, that's all that matters.
Posted by: muddy at July 3, 2006 04:45 PMYou say the supreme court is making laws. They say the president is not respecting the constitution ...
I agree that the world is indeed way better now that he's dead.
However I don't understand the messing with the body.
