Execution of a teenage girl

A television documentary team has pieced together details surrounding the case of a 16-year-old girl, executed two years ago in Iran.

On 15 August, 2004, Atefah Sahaaleh was hanged in a public square in the Iranian city of Neka.

Her death sentence was imposed for "crimes against chastity".

The state-run newspaper accused her of adultery and described her as 22 years old.

But she was not married - and she was just 16.

This is only one example, this sounds to me like these dirt bags are going to be great negotiating partners, loads of reasons to believe a single word they say.

What happened to that poor girl was horrendous! Absolutely despicable! May justice rain down on everyone involved in her murder.

You people are a riot.

You support a war that has killed at least 100 thousand innocent civilians, some burtaily raped and murdered by us soliders, and yet you show this false grief for a girl who was killed because of islamic law? Its a sad situation, but given the tens of thousands of women and children that have been killed for something you support, it pales in comparrision.

Im sure if religious nutcases like pat robertson and fallwell ran the US, they would have simmilar rules. I mean you guys have no problem with the death penalty as it is, and every country has different laws for the death penalty. You guys are law and order types. "God and Country," thats your motto right? Well, thats their god and their country.

I bet you would have no problem nuking iran, in fact im pretty sure you put that opinion forward in the past. I wonder how many innocent women the fallout would kill? Or would these be small, precise tactical strikes and only kill the bad guys?

"....and yet you show this false grief for a girl who was killed because of islamic law?"

False grief? So now you and your arogance knows how *I* feel?! Quit assuming things - it just makes you look like more of the jack ass that you already are.

Besides, even under islamic law, I don't think (from what I understood while reading it) that she even qualified for the death penalty for quite a few reasons. First of which being that she was a minor and they LIED about her age just so they could kill her.
