Hurricane Season Update

On May 22, 2006, the National Hurricane Center announced its forecast that the upcoming north Atlantic hurricane season would be more active than usual. An average season has 11 named storms, including 6 hurricanes, of which 2 are major hurricanes. The forecast for 2006 is for 13–16 named storms, including 8–10 hurricanes, of which 4–6 may be major hurricanes. They do not expect a repeat of last year's record-breaking 28 named storms, however, which included 15 hurricanes, 7 of them major.

So Hurricane season is in it's prime, how many have hit the U.S.?

Well I did a quick google news search and found something interesting below.

If you look at the image above, the word hurricane turned up 409 articles on Tropical Storm Chris?
What?
So it's not even a hurricane, yet the word 'Hurricane' is all over it.

Then just below that 205 articles on the Miami Hurricane college football teams newest problems.

So there is no real news of a Hurricane this season, only tropical storms that are not hurricanes and may never be and some young kids who can't stay out of trouble.

OK, well then I guess I'll have to cancel my subscription to Hurricane Disasters Monthly.
I can only assume the global warming freaks are hacked about this, good thing it's hot or they would have nothing to toot their horns about.

*Editors Note*
The sarcasm in this article is in no way a wish for any hurricane to strike any place, we do not wish anyone harm. (except terrorists who want to kill free people)
