Beth Gardner’s neighbors helped deliver her baby on the Parkway West.
State police got a call around 9:30 p.m. last night that a woman was in labor near the Green Tree exit.
Gardner’s neighbors were driving her to the hospital because her husband was watching the Steelers game last night.(
Considering my beautiful daughter made me miss my beloved Steelers in Super Bowl XXX when Neil O'Dufus was paid off to throw the ball to the defense and loose the game for us, I think this guy needs help.
I mean, he missed his kids birth for a meaningless preseason game! 80% of the players in that game were cut less than a week later.
One word, LOSER.
It does say the following:
Whether or not he knew she was in labor
Whether or not he was physically at the game or just watching it on the tube.

True but if it was how it sounds....I'd be filing divorce papers.
Posted by: mrs. muddy at September 6, 2006 09:47 PMIt's the media. It is almost never how it sounds.
Posted by: skywalker at September 7, 2006 07:39 AMThe fact that they don't detail his location makes me very suspicious also. If he had been with her and knew about it, you can bet they would have written it in there. As it is, they left it ambiguous for sensationalism.
For all we know, she went into labor 3 weeks early and he was at a friends house and wasn't getting very good cell phone reception.
Posted by: skywalker at September 7, 2006 07:42 AMTrue. The media is not very reliable.

Or he could have been in a basement like ours.:-)
That's a good point with the labor. After all - the last time I was pregnant, I had contractions off and on for two weeks before the big show and had taken three trips to the hospital. Third time was a charm....the stinker finally decided "enough was enough".
