Muslims vs. Every Other Religion

Over the past year we have seen some striking examples of the "peaceful" religion that Muslims claim to have.
Draw a few somewhat true cartoons and then all of a sudden, buildings are being burned, entire towns engulfed in chaos and non-Muslims shot and killed who had NOTHING to do with the cartoons.

Now we have the guy with a funny hat give a speech, with some wording that the leaders of the Muslim world did not like, guess what.
Buildings burned, chaos in the streets and a nun shot who had NOTHING to do with it.

Oh and just to shed light on the poor Muslim plight.
Do a search on google images for the words anti-Semitic, anti-Muslim and anti-christian, guess which one has the least hits??
As of right now 20060919 09:43 the tally is:
anti-Muslim 347
anti-christian 516
anti-Semitic 4,510

Those poor Muslims nut jobs, I don't know how they deal with the hate mongers. *sniff*
I sure am glad other religions are not as peaceful as the gentle and kind Muslims.

OK now to be serious, let's consider the daily cartoons in newspapers worldwide that for example make fun of Christians. If we went out foaming at the mouth ready to kill on command at the whim of Jerry Farwell as they do for President Tom, the U.S. would be a barren landscape.
If I were a peaceful Muslim I'd be wicked pissed off at the so called leadership that is whipping everyone into a frenzy over something stupid and unimportant.
Where are the peace protests by U.S. Muslims?, where is the outrage at their 'brothers' moronic behavior?

I don't see any news coverage of it, and we all know that Muslims are the media darlings, anything they do in public gets days of press.

The only thing I could find was from the Muslim Public Affairs Council where they condemned the killing of the Nun Somalia.

There are over a billion Muslims in the world today. The ones who are protesting in a violent fashion is a very, very, very tiny portion of this planet's Muslim population.

I mean shape up, man. If Muslims are reacting violently to accusations of violence, don’t you think that something ELSE is up? Who knows what these Imams and “leaders” in the Middle East – or rather Arab world – are spewing out? Propaganda, lies, exaggeration etc.

---

And I cannot understand what the “anti-Semitism” thing is about? Let me break it down for you one time:

* Islam is a religion; Muslims belong to this religion (i.e. there are Muslims of all nationalities and ethnicities – most Muslims in the world are, low and behold, NOT ARABS).

* Christianity is a religion; Christians belong to this religion (did you know that Jesus is one of the greatest prophets in Islam, and is considered to be the Messiah amongst both Christians AND Muslims? Muslims and Christians (and Jews) have more fundamental similarities than they have differences. It is the "same" basic religion with a few dissimilar branches.

* “Semitic” as in Semites have NOTHING TO DO WITH RELIGION; a Semite is a member of any of a number of peoples of ancient south-western Asia including the Acadians, Phoenicians, HEBREWS AND ARAB.

The primary reason for the hatred towards Jews in the Arab world is because of the Israel/Palestine situation. If this was not a reality, I am 99 percent sure that there would not be as much hatred as there is now.

For most people, it has nothing to do with Muslims versus Jews (even though they might have convinced themselves otherwise). It has to do with poverty, corruption, occupation, conflicts, propaganda, history, European colonization and its after effects etc. Just puzzle it together.

The Arab world has issues. So, please, do not confuse the Middle East with Muslims. And I suggest that you read up on Middle Eastern history. That way you might gain some insight to why the Middle East is in the shape it is today.

But I guess in your eyes there are 1, 4 billion potential terrorists in the world?

"But I guess in your eyes there are 1, 4 billion potential terrorists in the world?"

Just remember, when you assume something - you make an a** out of yourself. Not of the other person.

"* Islam is a religion; Muslims belong to this religion...."

That's more than a well known fact.

"* Christianity is a religion; Christians belong to this religion...."

Well, in the eyes of the world and even to some Christians - yes. However, what it actually is - is a relationship with Christ. Religion in man formed, made, runned, controlled. That's why *I* can't qualify *my* faith (Christianity) as a religion when it comes from God (NOT a man) himself.

"(did you know that Jesus is one of the greatest prophets in Islam,"

Yes, we DO very well know that. I've personally discussed this with a few Muslims myself. The problem is, they ONLY believe that Jesuse was JUST a *prophet*. We Christian's believe he's the Son of God. BIG difference.

"Muslims and Christians (and Jews) have more fundamental similarities than they have differences."

Only as far as the old testament (at least that's what I've learned from the Muslims that I've talked with).

"It is the "same" basic religion with a few dissimilar branches."

A *few "dissimilar branches"*!? Um....no. The ONLY thing that's the same or similar is the old testament BUT after that....Muslims and Christians separate. They worship their god "allah" and we worship our God. Let's put it this way:

-Muslims believe Jesus is just a prophet.

-Christians believe Jesus is the Son of God.

-Muslims believe Muhummud(sp) is a prophet who brought the true word of God - or "Allah" if you're a Muslim.

-Christians do NOT count Muhammud as a prophet. We believe him to be a false prophet. One who spewed and wrote lies.

-Muslims believe you must believe in ALL the prophets (again, that's what I was told) - including Muhammud to go to heaven.

-Again - Christians believe Muhammud was a false prophet.

- Also, some Muslims have told me that they believe it is blasphemous to say God has a Son. They believe that takes away his Godness (so to speak) and puts him on the level of humanity. Not to mention that some believe (from what *I've* been told) that it also makes it sound as if God had sexual relations in order to have a Son. (As if God were not powerful enough to have a Son with*out* sex). Then again, some believe that it's not blasphemous but just ridiculous because God is so powerful, he does not *need* a Son.

-Christians believe in the trinity. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Yet that they are ONE God. We believe that Jesus and the Holy Spirit ARE God - as much as God is himself. Yes, I know that's enough to blow a few brain cells but that's something you'll never figure out. No one can. Our mere mortal minds won't allow it. We accept it on faith.

-Christians believe in what the Christian Bible - the only TRUE word of God - says: Jesus says that no one comes to the Father except through Him. Period! He doesn't include Muhammud. Muhammud is never even mentioned. That's how we know muhammud is false.

-Muslims don't even have that part in their quran(sp) (Again. From what I've been told by Muslims).

So while people are free (according to God. As we all have Free Will) to worship and believe the way they want....Muslims are NOT living in accordance to the TRUE word of God so therefore, it's NOT about just having a "few dissimilar branches". It's about worshiping a different God - period.

It has been brought to my attention that I put:

"Religion in man formed, made, runned, controlled."

When I ment to just put:

"Religion in man formed, made, run, controlled."

Which *still* isn't the best way to word that sentence but at least this time I used a real word.:-)

Thanks Mud.
