Yes! It *is* election day!! Do you know what that means?! It means that after 7pm tonight, muddy and I will no longer have to put up with those 10,12 to 15 a day political phone calls we've been bombarded with!!!! (well, at least not until the next election "season"). Of course, that's what we get for being "unaffiliated" when it comes to a party platform. But hey! No more stupid phone calls!
Oh, Happy Day! Sing along....
In Georgia we don't even have party registration and I've gotten maybe 3 this year.
It's what you get for being in a state that is in the fight.

Oh, I know. Preachin' to the choir on that one babe. You've only recieved *3* this *year*?! Dude, last week, I recieve 3 in a 10 minute period - JUST after I sat down to eat dinner. The good news? We have caller ID. The bad news? You still have to get up and look at the number (or you get smart and keep it close by so you don't have to keep running into the next room just to find out it's nothing but some stupid, annoying 1-800 or unknown number).
You guys may not have recieved a bunch of calls but you probably get alot of junk mail. Of course, just like the phone calls, muddy and I get bombarded from all sides just because of our "independent stand" on parties. I tried to tell the mail man I didn't want them because those ads are not going to tell you the whole truth anyway but apparently, he didn't want them either. And since they were addressed to us well....
I must say, though, I was quite impressed with our voting proccess today. They actually asked everyone for their ID (or at least a formal/business letter or a bill - something with your name and address). I was a bit surprised but I told them that it was a good surprise and that I was more than happy to comply.:-) Don't you guys have a new law (or something) down there that requires the same thing? Or was that challenged and thrown out?

Dumb.
It has a temporary injunction. I really can't understand why, since part of the law guarantees a free state issued ID that can get acquired anywhere that you can register to vote.
Just typically liberal crap wanting to make it easier to allow people to vote illegally.
