Nice.
I'm sitting in the dark typing this by candle with the heat off wrapped in blankets and he's sucking up the power.
Legislators say workers and equipment building a section of the barrier have gone 10 metres (yards) into Mexico.
The alleged border violation comes ahead of a high-level meeting in the Canadian capital Ottawa.
US, Mexican and Canadian foreign ministers are to discuss border security and trade issues.
Mexican legislators said they had photographs and video, taken on Monday, of the workers and heavy-duty construction equipment that showed them about 10 metres inside Mexico near the border city of Agua Prieta and the town of Douglas, Arizona.
I almost soiled myself laughing when I read this.
The curriculum at the oldest U.S. university has been criticized as focusing too narrowly on academic topics instead of real-life issues, or for being antagonistic to organized religion. Efforts to revise it have been in the works for three years.
One of the eight new required subject areas -- "societies of the world" -- aims to help students overcome U.S. "parochialism" by "acquainting them with the values, customs and institutions that differ from their own," said a 34-page Harvard report on the changes.
I'm not sure who these parents are that are sending their kids to this establishment, but they need their pulse checked.
As a parent myself I really, really don't get the appeal of sending your kids off to be taught everything wrong, and pay out the nose for it.
For the week of February 5th: Do As Infinity - Kouzou Kaikaku

I've bought several Do As Infinity cd's now and this song is one of my favorites.
Van has a beautiful voice which captures the great feel of this song. While Dai and Ryo stepped away for a bit of funky, jazz with some rock rolled into a great song that you can move to.
I really like how the lull you in the first thirty seconds into thinking it's going to be some oddball song, then smack you with some horns and into the funk.
For any fan of jpop or good music this is a must have.
I get a real kick from all the alarmists out there including this new group of pseudo-scientists that want to blame the pretend impending devastation called 'global warming' on the United States.
I'm assuming they are not real scientists since they are claiming that ocean levels will rise. Now any child in school science class can tell you that is total B.S.
Ice in the oceans melting will do nothing, just as ice melting in your glass does not create anything new. Now some will claim that the ice melting on the mountains then flowing into the rivers and at last into the ocean will raise the sea level.
Again, I call B.S. there as well.
If they think for a second that there is enough ice on the mountain tops to make a difference in the sea levels, their nuts.
....again? Has it been a year already?!
Well, according to my calendar - apparently so. Don't get me wrong, I do realize that most of you couldn't care any less but since it's my husband's website - I've decided to take advantage of the situation.
Well let's see....I've been trying to convince Muddy for two years to take me to the firing range (as it's too cold for hiking) however, he doesn't seem to trust the idea of me handling a gun. I keep telling him the targets would be provided for us and would NOT include he himself stepping in as such. For some reason, though, this does not seem to be much of a comfort to him. Hmmmmm....what to do, what - to - do!
Oh well, in the mean time, I'm taking our oldest out to dinner today as a celebration for BOTH of our birthdays. Yes, it just so happens I gave birth to this child six days before my own special, happy day.
Ok....I'm done being an attention whore. You may now return to your regularly scheduled lives.
