We here at 'muddysmind' would like to take this time to express our condolences to all those involved with the horrendous tragedy of this weeks events at Virginia Tech. I wanted to post our condolences earlier in the week when I first heard of this tragedy unfolding - however, Muddy and I have been busy dealing with our own family matters this week as we have been faced with the death of his grandmother. The truth is, unfortunately, this world is full of horrific events that unfold everyday. Which is one of the many reasons why none of us are strangers to the pain and sting of death and the long road to healing and recovery we face ahead.
Our prayers go out to all.

As Faye stood in front of bearded Ahmadinejad he asked her through a translator: “How is your daughter?”
Faye fumed in response: “I don’t know, Mr President, I haven’t seen her for 13 days — remember?”
The Islamic fanatic stuttered: “Oh yes. But haven’t you been allowed a phone call to her?”
Faye replied: “No I most certainly have not”.

Easter. My favorite holiday! What is it about Easter that ranks number one with me? Well, because Easter is in the Spring time (my favorite season), it's all about the symbolism and literalism to me. Basically spring is the time where everything around us wakes up from the winter. A rebirth. Resurrection if you will. A new start. New life. Second chances along with the rebirth.
That's what Easter is all about. Christ conquering and resurrecting from the dead. Giving us a rebirth through Him. Our new start with a new life. Sometimes even giving us a second, third, fourth, four-hundredth chance at a new start/beginning.:-) That's what I love about both Easter and Spring. They way they emphasize and harmonize so well together with that message. Today may all of you find through Christ a rebirth and - if necessary, a new beginning somewhere in your lives.
