I love how they make the moral equivalency of killing an innocent civilian, to treating terrorists humanely, and humiliating detainees.
BTW, just so everyone knows, accoording to the Geneva Convention, to qualify for its protections, you must be a uniformed member of a nation's armed forces with which that nation is involve din a conflict. At that point, if captured, you are a POW. If you do not wear a uniform and are involved in the conflict, if captured you are a detainee and not afforded the Geneva Convention. If captured, out of uniform, but you are a member of a conflicting nation's armed forces, you are, under the Geneva Convention, eligible to be summarily executed by hanging or firing squad as a spy. So before any of you go and make mention of the Geneva Convention, just be glad that we haven't executed anyone as a spy despite many of them being eligible!
Dude, 99% of people who cry 'Geneva Convention' have never even read ONE word of the Geneva Convention. I know you and I both have, but thats because of our military background.
Most everyone else crying how we have violated it are simply regirgitating what they hear from the liberal media, like simple minded parrots.
'RRROOCCK, violation of Geneva Convention'
I know. On my drill weekend, we had a refresher course on it. One of my favorite pilots got up and reminded us the the jerks at Abu-Ghraib may have just sentenced one of us to death should we ever be captured. Being that I'm in a rotational deployment unit, that's possible too.
